Mandalas with Ione Krainyk

  • Moosomin Visual Arts Centre 701 Ellice Street Moosomin, SK, S0G 3N0 Canada (map)

“Mandala” is the Sanskrit word for “circle”. In Tibet, the creation of mandalas is considered a form of “mind maintenance.” The circle is the most natural shape and shows both the beginning and the end. The repetitive pattern within the mandala is soothing and meditative. Carl Jung, a famous psychiatrist, says “A mandala is the psychological expression of the totality of the self.”

Join Ione Krainyk as she shows us how to create our own mandalas. You will create your own mandala on a 8” x 8” canvas board using acrylic paints.

Participants must be aged 12 and older.

There is a limit of 8 participants in this class.

2 hour class.
