Pottery Wheel Basics with Terry Grant

  • Moosomin Visual Arts Centre 701 Ellice Street Moosomin, SK, S0G 3N0 Canada (map)

Terry Grant of ClaymanStudios-Moosomin will guide you through the basic skill development of throwing on the pottery wheel, including wedging and centering. This four week workshop (January 9th, 16, 23rd and 30th) will have you ready to use MVAC's clay studio on your own during Open Studio events!

Please note, this is a skill-based class not a product-based class.

Terry's art journey has so many faceted sides. He has tried his hand at many different art forms and his portfolio is ever expanding. Terry has worked with metal during silversmithing crafting with silver and copper , leather as he has made homemade leather goods, cake decorating with his wife Jen, glass as he has tried glass blowing and took numerous stained glass classes and fell in love with the process, water while he created wonderful water colours and played with shading and textures, words as he stumbled upon the joy of weaving them into poetry and has even found himself published, now he has turned his talents to clay. His pottery can be found in the town of Moosomin and he is continuing to hone his craft.

January 9, 16, 23 and 30.
